Applesauce is a delicious snack that is also very nutritious. But so many store bought types contain added sugar and preservatives. Here is a recipe for home made applesauce that is easy to make, inexpensive, and delicious!
Peel and core a three pound bag of apples (between 8 & 9 apples).
Chop into small pieces and put into a crock pot.
Add 1/2 cups sugar.
Add 2 cups water.
Sprinkle in cinnamon (if you would like).
It will look like this:
Cook in the crock pot for 4-6 hours. It will look similar to this:
Mash the apples with a potato masher or meat tenderizer.
Scoop out any excess water to create the consistency you like.
Add sugar or cinnamon to taste.
Put the final product in a jar and refrigerate!
Please share your experience if you try this recipe!
Hey, very nice site. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definitely be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks for sharing.
