If you are looking to save money on some "non-necessity" items, Groupon is a great resource.  Groupon is a nationwide organization that offers group discounts on various items and experiences.  Most often, they offer deals at 50% off.  The deals change on a daily basis and are customized to your locale. 

You might not save a bundle on toilet paper or cell phone plans, but you can snag amazing deals on things such as massages, sky jumping, restaurant meals, hotel stays, and baked goods.  Last summer I scored an unheard of good deal on hot air ballooning!
