We are six weeks into our endeavour to the make it the entire winter without turning on our heat. Luckily temps returned to the high 60s/low 70s and it was quite enjoyable. The temp in the house never got below 65 and it was very pleasant.
Amazon is running a great deal (58% off) of a Mink Electric Throw. These are great to keep on the couch for when the house temp gets a little low.
We are definitely consuming more energy than normal due to electric blanks and the occasional space heater use. However, I know this is far less than if we were running the heater to heat the entire house. I feel like we made it through the worst!
